Snowflake's Story
In Search of the Fabled Land of New Jersey

Dove escapes, evil magician offers reward for her capture

The Chameleon Theatre Circle and Sweet Charities Theatre Company, with special thanks to The Arts & Diversity Committee of St. Paul Travelers for their generous support made available through a grant to COMPAS, are proud to present Snowflake’s Story, In Search of the Fabled Land of New Jersey.

Snowflake’s Story is an original play geared towards both children and adults. Snowflake, a magician’s dove, decides enough is enough and escapes from the clutches of the evil magician to go in search of the wondrous place called New Jersey. Along the way she meets a dog, a rat, a cat and several parakeets that help her on her journey.

Author Nikki Harmon weaves a tale full of fun and surprises that will keep audiences laughing and make the entire family want to search for New Jersey. Snowflake’s Story was one of The Chameleon Theatre Circle’s New Play Festival winners in 2003 and also was the winner in the statewide Minnesota Association of Community Theatre’s Festival in 2005. So, bring the kids and help Snowflake find the fabled land of New Jersey.

About Sweet Charities Theatre Company
In August of 2001, Sweet Charities Theatre Company was formed with a vision of producing great quality theatre which Twin Cities based organizations could use not only as fundraisers, but to expand the awareness of their messages on issues such as: family homelessness, childhood poverty and illiteracy, and the abuse and neglect of our disadvantaged and disenfranchised, both adults and children.

For their current production, Sweet Charities chose Snowflakes Story - an entertaining  and touching story about embracing those very people and things that you usually automatically fear. We know you will enjoy it. Lastly, we are incredibly grateful to have had the talents of Chameleon Theatre Circle as co-producers of this show. As you will see, their talented cast, director, and support team, continue to produce some of the Twin Cities best community theatre. Enjoy the show, and for further information about Sweet Charities Theatre Company, contact Mark Margolis.
