What's the story between Once Upon A Time and Happily Ever After? Ask the Baker and his Wife as they wind through the forest seeking to undo the evil spell of a grumpy witch. Before Act One is over they'll find help from Little Red, Rapunzel, Jack (of beanstalk fame), and even Cinderella. But be careful what you "witch" for. There's always a second act, and the road to Ever After is fraught with peril. Not to mention gigantic laughs, all the joy of Stephen Sondheim's brilliant score, and a few tricky things called consequences. The Chameleon Theatre Circle extends this special invitation to you and your loved ones as we present Stephen Sondheim's musical tale Into the Woods. Reserve your seats before you get here -- because anything can happen in the woods! THE STORY: When a Baker and his Wife learn they've been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk). Everyone's wish is granted at the end of Act One, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results. What begins a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children. Nine Tony nominations: Winner for Best Score and Best Book • Winner of the New York Drama Critics Circle Award • Grammy Award for original cast album INTENDED FOR AUDIENCES OF 10 YEARS & OLDER with Strong Parental Guidence. 7 Performances! October 30November 15, 2003 at Kenwood Trail Jr. High in Lakeville
